What this page is for
The Floor grid is the day-to-day home screen. Every table in the venue is shown as a card so staff can see at a glance which tables are free, in play, or out of action.
Reading a table card
- Available — table is free to start a new booking.
- Active — a booking is in progress. The card shows the customer, time remaining (fixed) or elapsed (open), and the live amount due.
- Maintenance — table is out of action with an optional note.
- The small coloured chip is the table type (e.g. American Pool, Snooker).
Starting a booking
- Click an available table to open the table detail panel.
- Click Start booking.
- Pick the customer (or type a walk-in name) and choose a kind:
- Fixed — book for a set duration. Useful for parties and reservations.
- Open — pay-as-you-play. Optionally take a deposit.
- Confirm. The table flips to Active and starts billing.
Managing an active booking
- Light — toggle the table light on/off without ending play.
- Extend — add minutes to a fixed booking that's running over.
- Move — transfer the booking to another available table (e.g. if a cue or pocket is faulty).
- Waive fees — zero out the bill with an optional reason (comped sessions, gestures of goodwill).
- End — close the session. The booking moves to history and any fees can be carried onto an attached tab.
Maintenance mode
From an available table, choose Maintenance to take it out of rotation. Add a note (e.g. "torn cloth") so other staff know why. Turn it back to Available when ready.
Tips
- Filter or scan by floor when the venue is busy — the grid groups by floor.
- Keep light state in sync with play — it's how the floor team spots free tables from across the room.
